Why Free Water at Pride?

1

Water has been historically scarce

Free water at Denver Pride has been sparse and when it is available has led to very long lines limiting availability

2

It's Hot Out

In 98 degree weather you would need to drink approximately a gallon of water to stay hydrated and reduce the risk of heat injuries.

3

Water Should be Free

The most available source of water at Denver Pride is water that is either sold by vendors or sold by the event itself. This Water can cost anywhere from $3-$6

This Year we pushed hard and achieved more

Comparing to last year's Free Water at Pride project we were more direct and achieved even more than we expected. From news segments to a record number of water distributed, we made an impact that The Center on Colfax couldn't ignore.

Medical Coverage & Support

Medical support is our backbone: rapid, organized, and deployable. We can stand up a full clinic within 30 minutes and get medics moving immediately.

Marshaling

We are currently developing a Marshal Corps to facilitate a safe protest space. Our marshals are trained to guide marches, protect participant autonomy, identify threats, assist speakers, and facilitate overall safety.

Education

Education is a core part of PULSE. We constantly expand our collective knowledge through teach-ins, skills refreshers, and shared learning, while encouraging continuing education and growth at every level.

Outreach and Activism

Outreach and activism are central to PULSE. We consistently advocate for safe staffing ratios, fair wages, universal healthcare, and equitable care, while demanding equal treatment and dignity for all communities.
